St Vincents Private Hospital Lismore

St Vincents Private Hospital was established in 1921 by the Catholic Diocese of Lismore and has been a respected and leading health care provider in the Northern Rivers region.  The hospital provides first class facilities for highly specialised procedures in three fully equipped Operating Theatres.  The hospital offers a range of services to the general community including orthopaedics, general surgery, gynaecology, urology, vascular surgery, ophthalmology, ear nose and throat surgery and maxilla/facial surgery. 

The hospital has onsite radiology and pharmacy services. There is patient parking on the grounds of the hospital and in the neighbouring streets.

Arrival instructions for admission to St Vincents Hospital Lismore

The Admission Office is located in the entrance off Avondale Avenue. It can also be accessed from Dalley Street by driving round to the back of the main building. For patients unable to use the steps there is a lift from ground level directly in front of the disabled parking area.

Car Parking

Parking is available in this area and a pickup / drop off / disabled parking area is located to the right of the brick steps entrance.

Lismore Base Hospital

Lismore Base Hospital is an accredited teaching hospital and is the largest hospital within the Local Health District.  Lismore Base Hospital provides both Elective and Emergency care to patients requiring a surgical procedure. The hospital offers a range of surgical services including; Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Vascular, Urology, Ear Nose and Throat, Faciomaxillary and Ophthalmology.  The hospital has onsite radiology and pharmacy services.

Patients requiring elective procedures are referred to the hospital by their surgeon and provided with an admission form.  Once the admission form is received by the hospital the patient is placed onto the waitlist.  All patients will have their surgery completed within their recommended clinical waiting times.

Patients requiring emergency procedures usually access the service via an emergency admission in ED or as a ward patient.

Instructions for admission to Lismore Base Hospital

Patients are requested to contact the hospital on 02 6620 2508 between 2-4pm on the day prior to their admission.  Patients will then receive information about their admission time, fasting time, and what level of the hospital to present to for their admission. 

Car parking

Car parking is available in the Hospital car park in Hunter Street and in the surrounding streets.  Time limited on-street parking is available on Uralba Street in front of the hospital. There is a 15-minute drop-off and pick-up area at the Main Entrance outside the Emergency Department.

Casino and District Memorial Hospital

Casino and District Memorial Hospital is a local community, Acute Care Rural hospital within the local Health District.  The Medical/Surgical Ward at Casino and District Memorial Hospital is currently a mixed gender generalist medical/surgical ward and currently accommodates short stay and overnight post-operative patients.

Patients are requested to contact the hospital on 02 6662 2111 between 10am-12pm on the day prior to their admission.  Patients will then receive information about their admission and fasting time.  Patients are asked to present to Reception for their admission.
